It's all about the music; regardless of circumstances and background, all that matters is songs that get you hooked and gigs that make you happy.

In The Legion and their debut album; 'All That Optimism', you find both. However, there are some pretty interesting facts behind this new Leicester band and the debut album out this autumn: The Legion has only played together for less then 2 years, 3 of the 4 members are lifelong friends, which shows in the chemistry oozing from their album. It's hard to believe that the songs were written by Stewart Nutting (vocals and guitar) between the age of 14 and 16. Since then, the band, consisting of brothers Craig and Martin Shaw (drums, bass) and Alex Simmons (guitars), has built the songs up together, and polished them in the small upstairs bedroom at the family home of one of the members, where rehearsal takes place (!!!).

The album was recorded, mixed and mastered at Deadline Studios in Leicester in only 4 days.
